ChatGPT 🤖 is still no match for humans
Plus: OpenAI's recent text-to-3D release
In our first AI Snippet we’re presenting you four major AI updates today. We will look at a new AI speed camera which is capable of capturing those who are using a mobile phone behind the steering and we’re going to show you, why ChatGPT is still no match for humans. Let’s get right into it 👇
1/ ChatGPT is still no match for humans when it comes to accounting 🏦
The Brigham Young University tested ChatGPT’s accounting skills in a massive crowd-sourced study by 327 co-authors from 186 institutions worldwide. In this study, ChatGPT faced off against students on accounting assessments. While ChatGPT still performed well for the fact that it’s an AI, the students were much better:
Students overall average score: 76.7%
ChatGPT score: 47.4%
When looking at the question types, ChatGPT did better on true or false questions as well as multiple-choice questions. On the other hand, ChatGPT struggled with short-answer-questions. Only in 11.3% of the questions ChatGPT scored higher than the student average.
ChatGPT did particularly well on AIS and auditing, while performing weak on tax, financial, and managerial assessments.
2/ New “AI” speed camera with 4D radar technology can scan drivers inside a vehicle 🚙 📸
In the UK the first 4D AI speed camera was introduced. It’s capable of scanning drivers inside their cars if they’re caught speeding. The Inventors of this technology, Redspeed International are global leaders in the field of camera enforcement. The new technology can tell how far over the speed limit a driver is travelling, as well as capturing those who are using a mobile phone or are driving without their seat belts.
3/ OpenAI releases Shap-E, NeRF Enabled Generative Model for 3D assets 📲
This new model can generate 3D outputs out of text inputs. The graphic below shows how ChatGPT can be used for creating generative 3D modeling. Text-to-3D printers are about to be a thing very soon…

4/ Microsoft opens up its AI-powered Bing to all users 👨💻
Nearly three months after Microsoft released its limited preview version of the new Bing, Microsoft is opening it up to all users without a waitlist. The new Bing is powered by the viral AI chatbot ChatGPT and offers the user a new web browsing experience.
Beyond adding AI features to search, Microsoft is planning to bring the new AI technology to its other tools like Word, Excel, or Outlook, with the true potential to change our everyday workflow.
